* We stayed at their separate location just up the street from the main hotel. It was over top of a pub, but we because we were on the top floor we found no problem with noise.

WHEN: May 2013

WITH: One of my best friends Alyce!

WHY: We were both teaching in London and had a long weekend!

HOW LONG: We stayed in Bergen for 2 nights.

1. Fjords tour - we did the "Norway in a Nutshell" trip
2. Bryggen
3.The Fish Market

SKIP: Eating in a restaurant - The fish market has so many good options for lunch!

TRY: Bergene Melk (Bergen Milk - Chocolate Bar)

WHY GO: Bergen is known as the gateway to the fjords. So if you are in Norway to see Fjords, Bergen is a great place to start. It is a small but beautiful city, It reminded me a bit of Salzberg Austria.

SOUVINEER(S): I got 2 children's book about trolls since I am a teacher! And I also bought a painting of the Bryggen wharf!
