Algonquin Park!

One of my all time favourite places to visit in Ontario is Algonquin Park. I grew up driving through the park to visit my Grandma (always stopping for moose), I camped there numerous times with Family and cousins, and now as an adult I enjoy hiking the trails and canoeing the waterways.

The park is about 7,653 square kilometres. For comparison purposes, this is about one and a half times the size of PEI or about a quarter of the size of Belgium, or about the same size as the US state of Delaware. Therefore it is HUGE!!

The ABSOLUTE best time to visit the park is in the early fall when all the leaves are bright reds, oranges and yellows! But really there's never a bad time to visit the park.

If you have never been then you need to add it to your Ontario Bucketlist - because it is one of our best destinations! To follow Ontario's slogan... "It's yours to Discover".

Here are some of my favourite pictures from inside the park.
