Flashback Friday - Copenhagen, Denmark

WHERE: Copenhagen, Denmark

Generator Copenhagen
- inexpensive
- centrally located
- good atmosphere

WHEN: June 2013

WITH:  My friend Alyce

WHY GO: Copenhagen has the small town feel in a Capital city. They have a little bit of everything art, history, shopping, even a beach. Danish treats are everywhere in cute cafes, and bakeries not to mention they have the greatest street meat (hot dogs).

1. Nyhavn
2. Little Mermaid Statue
3. Walking Tour - you get a good amount of information and get to see the top sites. Then you can make notes of what sites you would like to go back to. There are Museums, Gardens, Palaces and Castles to explore. Not to mention Strøget, the world’s longest pedestrian shopping street.

Worth a try: Tivoli Gardens (it is expensive and has some mixed reviews - I personally didn't have the time so I opted out but it is quite famous)

SKIP:  Going out for dinner - Denmark is quite pricey. If you want to go to restaurants go for lunch, when prices are often a little bit less and then get something like a hot dog or kebab for dinner.

TRY: A hot dog with all the fixings!

SOUVENIR(S): Hans Christian Andersen stories and a mug.
