My Top 10 Vegas MUST-Do's

1. Gamble

- Why not get the most obvious out of the way, but it wouldn't be Vegas without a little bit of gambling. I personally loved the Merry-Go-Round Slots at Circus Circus (yes it actually turned)!!

2. See a Cirque du Soleil

- This was my I won't leave Vegas without... watching a Cirque du Soleil! I went with Beatles "Love" and I LOVED it!! Great show!

3. Eat at a Celebrity Chef Restaurant

- You really have your pick of the litter here! So many choices, so little time!!

4. Find the Cupcake ATM

- I mean this is probably not on everyone's list... but it was on mine!  YOLO!

5. See a Magic or Comedy Show

- There are several different Magic Shows in Vegas - in fact it is probably the only city in the world I would actually pay to see a magic act! If Magic isn't your thing check out the comedy shows!!!

6. Watch the Bellagio Fountain Show

- It's famous for a reason...  it is a beautiful show!!

7. See the Strip at Night

Lights Lights Lights! That is what Vegas is all about. Vegas truly comes alive at night!

8. Travel the world by visiting different Hotels

- One minute you can be in Egypt, the next in Venice or Paris or New York... Vegas is a global city! See the world for the price of one plane ticket.

9. Find the Flamingos

 - Because you wondered if the rumours were true.

10. Eat, Drink, Be Merry!

- Vegas is all about having fun... think Disneyland for adults.

Quick Look @ 5 High End Vegas Hotels

As someone who recently visited Vegas for the first time choosing a hotel was probably the most daunting decision. There are so many to chose from and they are all so different. So while I was in Vegas I took it upon myself to walk through as many of the hotels as possible and scope them out for you all. The result.. I separated the hotels into different price categories (this being the high end) and then created fact sheets about each hotel - I picked out things to include that even if you don't stay at these hotels there may be things that still interest you to go in and take a look around!

These are my top 5 hotels for the "Big Spenders"- or perfect for people who are going to Vegas for a special occasion like a Birthday, Wedding or Honeymoon etc. Don't get me wrong you can get really good deals for each of these hotels, but these are definitely at the higher end of the Vegas Hotel Scale. Some may argue that these are not the most "elite" hotels that Vegas has to offer - but I only wanted to include hotels that I had actually walked through during my time in Vegas.

* My most important tip for after you finally choose a hotel is that you check which building or tower that your are going to be in. The location of the room can "make or break" the overall feel of the hotel for you!

** Trip Advisor has a category called "Room Tips" which is perfect for figuring out how to pick a tower in Vegas.

Alright on to the Hotels.....

TOP 5 Travel Experiences!

You have no idea how difficult it was to narrow it down, but it has been done. I'm considering doing a few of these Top 5s of my favourites such as my top 5 fav cities, countries, beaches, etc. So let me know what you think about that.

Also let me know what is your favourite Travel Experience thus far?!? I would love to know!!!

#5.                  New Years in Times Square, NYC

This one is a bit of a controversial to add to this list (for me). As NYE in NYC certainly did not live up to its expectations for me and therefore I do have a bit of a love/hate feeling about the whole experience. However at the end of the day it was something that was so high on my bucketlist for so long, and was just a once in a lifetime experience that I couldn't consider leaving it off the list.

#4.              Watching the Sunset in Santorini, Greece

Watching the sunset in Santorini is just one of those magical moments in life, where are you and everyone around you is just silent and enjoying every little second of life.

#3.                Climbing the Great Wall of China

Talking about self-reflection this was one of those... What did I get myself into moments. Wow... was I ever not prepared for the stair workout that is climbing the Great Wall. I would advice anyone to train for such an endeavour. However what an amazing once in a lifetime experience it is. The view from the top and the sense of accomplishment make all the pain worthwhile.

#2.         Hot Air Balloon Ride Over Cappadocia, Turkey

I had always wanted to go in a hot air balloon - but I couldn't possibly have dreamed of doing it in such an amazing place. Cappadocia is just one of the most unique places I have ever been and to see it from the sky (at sunrise) just cements that it is one of my favourite places and favourite experiences. If you have never heard of Cappadocia you need to check it out...

#1.          Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, Australia

Finally, my number one favourite travel experience thus far; snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef! This is my top experience for a number of reasons, for starters just because it is just mind blowingly beautiful and the amount of fish and coral that you see is just amazing! But also because I lived in Australia for a year while doing my final year of Uni so there are just so many emotions and memories wrapped in that and also because this was when my mom came over to visit me... just so many things! Anyways if this isn't on your Bucketlist it should be. There is just nothing like it!
