Would You Rather... Travel Edition

One of my newly favourite Travel Blog's "To Travel and Beyond" recently posted a Would You Rather - Travel Edition. So of course I needed to jump on the bandwagon. There is nothing I love more than a good Travel Tag. I loved reading her answers and would also love to read yours! So either comment down below on any specific or link me to your blog if you also do this tag!

Me on my 25th Birthday in Australia
Travel or focus on your career at the age of 25?
Seeing as I'm past that age, it is hard to know what I would have said previously. However since I have already been that age I know my actual answer and that is BOTH! At 25 I was in school for teaching while living in Australia!

Have a $10,000 budget for a holiday and fly first class for $5,000 and stay in mediocre accommodation, or spend $1,000 on economy and stay in luxury accommodation?
I want to say fly first class, because I have yet to do it and it's on my bucketlist, but also because hotel accommodation means very little to me. When I am on a holiday I spend very little time in my hotel room so unless it was my honeymoon I'm going first class.

Never take the train or never take an airplane again?
I would 100% say train! Easy.

View of Barcelona from the plane.
Stay in a palm hut along the seashore for seven days or stay in a log cabin in the woods for one month?
Both of these sound like nice. Are they suppose to be awful? I'm going to go with the beach but I really would be fine either way.

Be left behind in the bush on an African safari or be left behind in the water on a scuba trip?
Okay here are the awful decisions.... Ugh I guess Water. I can't image either one being very pleasant.

Have an awesome job in a mediocre city or a mediocre job in an awesome city?
Awesome city all the way!!

Be able to teleport to places you’ve already been or only be able to teleport to places you’ve never been before?
Could I still travel to places I've never been, just not teleport? I dunno I have questions. I guess places I have already been, because I have been some pretty fabulous places and I'd be sad if I could never return. No London, NYC, Australia... no thanks! I definitely want to travel more places though...!

Be stuck on a seven-hour delay, or turn up at the airport and realize your flight is tomorrow?
Seven-Hour delay. You have to wait either way, and 7 hours is shorter.

Be able to play every musical instrument that you touch or speak every language that you hear?
Language for sure!

Would you rather travel along the ocean floor or take a trip to outer space?
I'm not gonna lie I have very little interest in Space. I love looking at the stars and being in a plane above the clouds but beyond that not really into it. So I would def pick the ocean floor!

Travel back in time to meet your ancestors or forward to meet your descendants?
Forward I think.

A screenshot from my Snapchat while in NYC

Have in-flight WiFi but no legroom (like, zero inches) or in-flight legroom but no WiFi?
Legroom all the way! Long-legged girl here and I feel like you already have zero legroom. I have moved from being a window girl to a aisle girl just for the legroom in the aisle.

Be able to eat anything and any quantity of food with no negative health effects or be refreshed and well rested after only three hours of sleep?
Eat - Who wouldn't pick this ha! That would be amazing!

Die happy in five years or die unhappy in sixty years?
Ugh awful question. Once again I question the question.. Is it just that I die unhappy at the time I die in sixty years or that I live unhappy for the next sixty years. I think I'm going for the sixty years. Life is what you make it!

Red & Rose Valley Hike (Turkey) Photo Diary!

One of my favourite things that I did in Turkey was go on a hike in the Red & Rose Valley! Although I was completely unprepared for a hike, let me set the scene. In the wee hours of the morning we left Istanbul and flew into Kayseri. We were picked up by a car company set up by our tour company and then dropped off on the side of the road... yes the side of the road in some small town in Turkey. Immediately another van pulled up behind us and we were to switch vehicles. Now this is sounding like something straight out of a abduction horror movie, but everything seemed legit so we went with it. So were now in a new van with a driver and our new tour guide. Were driving for a few minutes with us thinking that were heading to our hotel to drop off our luggage, change, freshen up etc but No, we once again pull over and our tour guide says "You ready to hike?". So with a quick shoe change from sandals to some sneakers we headed out on our hike. May I also state that my shoes started a blue colour and finished completely sand coloured.. ah well!  Here is my photo diary of the beautiful Red & Rose Valley in/near Goreme, Turkey!

For more on the beautiful area of Cappadocia Turkey check out my post on my Hot Air Balloon Journey!

This was our first view on the hike, and I instantly knew this was going to be awesome adventure!

Can you spot the Pigeon holes and ladders??

Our tour guide also became our photographer, which was pretty awesome!

An Outhouse, because everyone has to go...

Nothing says Vacation like a good ol' jumping pic

Somehow Alyce's Dress went from Maxi to midi??
Can you guess what this next rock formation is???
A church!

Hand and foot holes = steps

So we climbed it... in dresses.

Turns out the back door is a little easier to exit!

Cavusin Village

When ancient and present times meet...

With a final look-back we moved on from our beautiful, breathtaking hike through Red & Rose Valley! If you ever find yourself in Turkey there is nothing I would recommend more than the Cappadocia Region!
