Flashback Friday - Dublin, Ireland

WHERE: Dublin, Ireland

North Star Hotel - 4 Star
- Great Location
- Nice rooms - clean
- Has Really nice Beer Garden
- Horrible Room Service food - although I hear the Restaurant is good!

WHEN: April 2013

WITH:  My Mom

WHY GO: Dublin has to be one of the friendliest cities I came across in Europe. The people are lovely, it is very easily walkable, plus there are fun pubs with lively music playing everywhere you turn.

1. St. Patrick's Cathedral and/or Christ Church Cathedral
2. Walk O'Connell Street and Grafton Street
3. Go to a pub - O'Neils, The Temple Bar, etc
Bonus: Guinness Storehouse
Extra Bonus - St. Stephen's Green - voted one of the top sites (I did not make it there as time was limited - but time permitting it seems worth a visit!!)

SKIP:  The Tour Guide; Dublin is definitely a city that can easily explored on your own and at your own pace. Not to mention that the locals are friendly and helpful that if you found yourself lost they will show you the way.

TRY: Renting a car or doing day trips (tours) outside the city! We set Dublin as our home base and did day trips to all over Ireland from there.

SOUVENIR(S): I got a claddagh ring.

Can help the excitement... I'm Canadian.

  1. It's ridiculous how little of the UK I have seen, especially since I've lived in England my whole life! Dublin looks beautiful!

    1. Danielle don't worry that's exactly how I feel about Canada! You definitely got to make the trip one day though - Dublin is the perfect weekend getaway for you! I love your blog post on Hungary. Makes me sad I missed going there while I was in Europe - adding to my Bucketlist!
