Murano and Burano Italy: Photo Diary

One of the many things you can do in Venice is take a Day Trip over to the Islands of Murano and Burano. The island of Murano really only consists of the Murano Glass Factory (at least in terms of tourism), however the island of Burano has a little more to offer. Burnao is famous for its Lace but also for its colouful houses. It is one of the most colourful places I have ever been.

The tour is not necessarily a "must do" however if you have the time I do feel it is a worthwhile venture. I quite enjoyed wandering around the island of Burano taking pictures of all the different houses. Plus the glass shop in Murano makes a perfect place to stock up on some birthday and Christmas gifts.

First up a Glass Making Demonstration in Murano!

Then a quick boat ride over to Murano!
